I lived in Whangamata, a lovely coastal town on the Coromandel, but have now moved inland to Pirongia – inland and with very different landscapes.
I began my painting journey quite by chance, taking Chinese Brush painting lessons while living in Singapore many years ago. On my return to NZ I took more classes in traditional water colours. My work has changed from traditional transparent water colours to more contemporary mixed media and now Printmaking has been added to the list. Now I am using all these practices in collage works.
My art has been influenced by the coastal environment I lived in and my time spent in Asia.
