I am a mixed media artist known for a modern eclectic style, and use of bold colour, texture and free-flowing form. My artistic journey began in childhood. I grew up in a family that valued art and freedom of expression, and often had a paintbrush in my hand. Lately I have been experimenting with layering and mixed media as part of Printmakers Combined.

I try not to be constrained by what I think an image should look like. I try to allow things to happen on their own. I like a painting to speak to me. For a quiet painting I’ll use a range of similar values, but for a livelier painting I’ll use a wider range of values with more light and dark contrast. When I’m painting I live for colour and light.
