Julie is an established artist, based in the Waikato region of New Zealand.  She first picked up a brush after giving up her corporate career to have children and through practice and exploration, Julie has discovered her natural ability for painting.

Julie enjoys working with a variety of tools, mediums and techniques, especially acrylic and pastel, producing works that are a combination of real life, images she captures, and her imagination. She experiments, learning new techniques and producing paintings that are varied and surprising. Her style is constantly evolving and changing as new ideas emerge.

Julie is attracted to vibrant colour and form found in nature, and her paintings are a beautiful expression of her own style.  She is inspired by her natural surroundings, and the interrelationship of nature and people.

Julies work is held in private collections throughout New Zealand and the world, and sold in galleries in the Waikato and Coromandel and Auckland.  She participates regularly in exhibitions and art shows nationally.
